I’ll have work as part of the Arts Collinwood Gallery Holiday Sale next week.  There will be a selection of mixed metal earrings, some of my geode and druzy necklaces, and a few of my oxidized silver pieces.

Thursday, December 8th - 6pm-10pm

Become a member of Arts Collinwood for as little as $10 and enjoy this early bird shopping experience exclusive to our members. The evening will include wine and light appetizers,  a live performance by the Carnegie Brass Trio, holiday drink specials in our Café, first pick at the work of over thirty of the regions best artists, and of course, lots of holiday spirit!

Here’s the details from Arts Collinwood:  Shop local this holiday season at Arts Collinwood’s Annual Holiday Art Sale featuring over 30 of the region’s best artists. The Arts Collinwood Holiday Art Sale has become a popular Cleveland destination and a draw for holiday shoppers from around the city, featuring a wide array of unique, affordable artwork including: wearable art, award- winning jewelry designs, prints, adorable baby items, museum quality paintings, exquisite glassworks, luxurious knitwear, beautiful holiday cards and much more.

Take advantage of free childcare while you shop from noon-4pm on Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy lunch, dinner or cocktails in our adjoining Café. The Café at Arts Collinwood features a full bar with a great selection of microbrews, wine and espresso drinks, as well as soups, salads, sandwiches and daily specials.  Also, enjoy live music Friday and Saturday night with no cover charge.

 

2011 University Park Arts Fair and Food Fest

100 local and regional artists, food and entertainment and it’s FREE ADMISSION. Come on out this weekend and celebrate the arts at the historic Grace Park in Akron at the corner of Prospect and Perkins Street.
The University Park Arts Fair and Food Fest runs from 10 am to 6 pm

The Screw Factory (Lake Erie Building) Artists Open Studios May 1

I’m delighted that I was invited to participate in the upcoming Open Studios at the Lake Erie Building, as I’m a huge fan of the space and the artists that fill it. I’m snagging the details right off off facebook to share with you so you can attend too:

The Screw Factory Artists are opening their studios once again for a spring open studio event. It will be held on Saturday, May 1st from 1-8pm. The event is free and open to the public.

The Screw Factory Artists work in the Lake Erie Building on the edge of Bird Town in Lakewood, Ohio. Mediums vary including fiber, ceramics, glass, mosaics, photography, paintings, sculpture and more.

For this event the artists are hosting an auction of Birdtown related artwork. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Friends of Madison Park. Organized in 2007, FOMP has established itself as a neighborhood based community group. Membership is open to any Lakewood resident who cares about enhancing Madison Park as a “backyard park” for children and families.

Participating resident artists include: Ann Brown, Gina DeSantis, Robert Durr, Katie Hanrahan, Chad Hansen, Michael Hudecek, Karen Jewell-Kett, Phyllis Kohring Fannin, Marc Konys, Michelle Mowery, M.C. Nagel, Mary Beth Norton, Martin O’Connor, Shannon Okey, Steven Ollay, Ann Onusko, Arabella Proffer, Ursula Ryan, Kari Sanford, Kate Tobin & Dorene Warner.

Visiting artists include: Kathryn Patton (Smashing), Ruth Sholtis-Furyes, & Valerie Tyler.
