Not too long ago I heard someone complaining about why everyone was into wearing yoga pants, who definitely probably had never done yoga in their lives.
I confess, I’m a rare yoga gal, but I do LOVE the clothes. (Of course I dance, and Yoga pants are perfect for that!)
Today’s theme Thursday focuses on some lovely Yoga related items. So whether you are an avid yoga lover, or just interested in the style there is likely to be something for you.
I usually love the yoga pants with a slight flair, but I though the cuffs and style of these pants were quite cute!

I’m finally getting back to sharing some of my Friday favorites with you. This week I want to spotlight the gorgeous feather headbands by LovMely from Los Angeles.
I bought three before the holidays and have pretty much gotten non-stop compliments any time I have worn them. I love how they are so unique, and lend a lot of style (without having to go through tons of effort) I have long hair and bangs, but they’d look cute even on people with short little pixie cuts too! The shop includes a wide variety of colors and types of feathers, as well as clips and other cute hair items as well.
This black and white pheasant headband is one of the ones I purchased. It goes with just about anything, and is a nice eye-catching size.
JENNY, Black and White Pheasant Headband with Vintage Button, $15.00
Now, I’m considering getting one of these fabulous Peacock Feather headbands:

I’ve recently started a group on Flickr called Modern Nature Design to help me bring you a brand new feature. It’s no surprise I am absolutely in love with nature-inspired, modern design. I strive to keep my home clean and simple, with elements of nature or minimal zen style. In my own jewelry I attempt to combine simple lines with organic shapes.
To kick off the series I simply had to invite fellow jewelry designer Susan of STonZ, to add this necklace to the collection of photos. She is a master at taking natural elements such as beach glass and of course stones and giving them such a sleek, modern look. You can find more of SToNZ’ lovely creations in her shop and follow some of her stories on her blog.
I often choose items to feature for this series from my Modern Nature Design group on Flickr. To see more items from members, or if you think your work is perfect for the group visit us at the Flickr Modern Nature Design Group Page.

Before you’re tempted to say screw it about holiday shopping, well….go ahead and say Screw It! (Don’t you love it, I’m being all edgy here! haha)
The artist and crafter lineup for the Cleveland Handmade Market has finally been listed, and along with the regular artists who will be hosting open studios in the Screw Factory (The Lake Erie Buiding at Templar Industrial Park) this event is NOT to be missed. May I repeat, NOT to be missed.
Yes, I am exhibiting my work at this event (including my recently unveiled photography, in addition to my modern nature jewelry) yet I’d be completely excited to hit the event to shop regardless. In fact, don’t buy everything before I get a chance to check it out as well.
This is the largest Cleveland Handmade show to date, and should have something for everyone.

It’s one of the busiest times of the year, with celebrations and parties, gatherings and gift-giving. This year Cleveland Handmade has geared up to showcase a variety of handmade goods for giving by stocking shops on etsy and throwing three handmade markets. I thought I’d showcase a seller each day all the way up until the New Year to let you know all the gorgeous goods available.
So here is a featured seller in the ongoing series:
LeahAna is the crochet jewelry queen (who also happens to make some fabulous rings!)

So today I spent part of the day creating and photographing jewelry to add to my wedding collection in my shop. I’ve been meaning to do this for awhile, but somehow I always stick to more one of a kind pieces. Each of the following items is available for individual sale for ANY special occasion, but I’m also now set up, willing and able to do entire gift sets for bridal parties and custom designs and color arrangements as well.

Radiance Necklace, $34.00

I’ve been experiementing with various ways to add 3-d elements to my jewelry. My latest piece “Industria Arch” incorporates a architectural style arch, with lots of texture and the unique variations and colors of labradorite. It’s my current personal favorite. It fits in well I believe with my goals to keep the collection looking modern and contemporary.

I typically like to only feature products made by local or independent artists, but I came across a beauty find I had to share. I’m typically a fresh-face type of person and lately have taken to only playing with make-up on special occasions or weekends. However, I tend to never walk out of the door without mascara.
Finding an organic mascara has not been the easiest thing to do, but finally I found one that might do the trick. Physicians Formula has created a 100% natural line of cosmetics, and part of that line is an all-natural, hypoallergenic mascara. Even better though, the pacakging it comes in is entirely recyclable. When it comes to my eyes, I like the idea of being able to finally use a product without harsh chemicals or synthetic gunk.
