Valerie Tyler’s Mixed Metals Collection is now at MOCA

I have some exciting new to share. You can now find my mixed metal jewelry at MOCA, the Cleveland Contemporary Museum of Art. I recently dropped off a large collection of pieces, and they will be available for purchase in the gift shop.
Here’s just a few items available as of this posting:

Recycled Renaissance

I’ve taken a slight detour from my modern and nature inspired jewelry lately to revisit some ancient medieval and renaissance themes. In doing so I’m also introducing my new line of jewelry with recycled sterling silver. All the raw sheet metal I use in these pieces is *greener* and more earth-friendly than just any old sterling.

Check out my new crest necklaces (currently a dragon and a griffin are available) as well as more gothic style cuffs that combine leather and metal.

Birds, Butterflies and Bees—Oh My!

Spring is on it’s way and with it comes the chirping of the birds, the flutter of butterflies and the buzzing of bees amongst the lovely new blooms of flowers. Here’s a showcase of Spring jewelry that pays homage to the gorgeous birth of Spring. sprinjewelry

Clearance Time-Special Savings on Jewelry

Well, I’ve been focusing on doing some “fall cleaning”   As the art show season slows down a bit for me until the holidays I’ve had the opportunity to look over my jewelry collections, streamline them and create a plan for the new lines.

Coming soon, I’ll be unveiling my “contemporary nature” line of jewelry, inspired greatly by some of my husbands suggestions and my mother-in-laws gorgeous bonsai gardens.  I can’t wait to give you a sneak preview.

This also means however, that as I have sold out many pieces from my earlier collections, I have a few lonely pieces that no longer fit in with my current inventories.

So therefore I have moved some pieces to my outlet shop and I’m selling them at some awesome clearance prices!

A few examples of some great deals you can snag yourself include these necklaces from my Aquatic Collection Line :

Valerie Tyler Designs Trunk Show during Little Italy Art Walk

You are invited to attend a sneak preview of Valerie Tyler Designs new Summer 2008 jewelry collection June 6-7 during the Murray Hill Art Walk in Little Italy where I will be unveiling my new collection. The focus of the 2008 collection is experimentation with metalworking techniques. Feminine shapes and delicate details are combined in this years’ jewelry, with some more playful industrial elements, allusions to nature, and an exploration of geometry and contemporary forms.

Come visit with myself and other artists who will also be exhibiting in the Courtyard behind Class Act, located at 12404 Mayfield Road throughout the weekend. In addition, all the galleries throughout Little Italy will be open for extended hours, featuring numerous artists and special events.
