Bazaar Bizarre West 2009 – Don’t be a Boxhead

Get your head out of the big box store! (That’s old-school booooring shopping!)

Visit myself and plenty other artists for all your holiday shopping needs. There’s food, there’s fabulous ipod music, there’s fun (maybe Xan will even come walk on stilts again this year), and the people-watching is pretty good too.

All you need to know is it is the same location as last year: 78th Street Studios: 1300 W. 78th St to 1305 W. 80th St., north parking lot, north entrance (behind the building) — accessible from W. 78th OR W 80th St.

Saturday December 12th from noon to 9:00 p.m., and Sunday December 13th from noon to 6:00 p.m.
There’s over 75 vendors making tons of unique items.

Countdown to the New Year with Cleveland Handmade: Shiplett

It’s one of the busiest times of the year, with celebrations and parties, gatherings and gift-giving. This year Cleveland Handmade has geared up to showcase a variety of handmade goods for giving by stocking shops on etsy and throwing three handmade markets. I thought I’d showcase a seller each day all the way up until the New Year to let you know all the gorgeous goods available.

I recently met the following artist at the Cleveland Handmade Market at the Valley Art Center and she’s a real gem. In fact her work includes a few gems too. Today though I want to showcase a particularly elegant piece made with gorgeous natural coin pearls that would be perfect for a holiday party.

Natural Coin Pearls and Sterling Silver Necklace, $58.99 from Shiplett
