Monday Modern Nature: Wendiland

It’s Monday, so time to share a little Monday Modern Nature inspiration. Today I wanted to share a few things from Wendiland, a shop that carries modern home and garden decor design items. If you follow this blog regularly, you’ve noticed I have a special place in my heart for japanese inspired decor, nature, and minimalist design so it’s not surprising I’d be drawn to these items. These would be perfect ways to add some zen style to your home, and peaceful things to put in your environment.

Friday Etsy Favorites: Succulents Galore

It’s Friday, so it’s time to share an Etsy favorite with you. Now, many people shop Etsy for jewelry, clothing and even vintage decor, but there are live plants to be found as well! This winter I managed to snag not one but TWO gorgeous vintage terrariums for an absolutely fabulous price and I’ve been thinking about how to fill them. Succulents Galore has been tagged in my Etsy favorites since there are tons of succulent plants to chose from, in various quantities, sizes and varieties. There’s even items that would be perfect for wedding or party gifts. The only difficulty with this shop would be choosing! So my question is, what should I get?

Bring on Spring

This Spring my husband and I have decided we definitely need to check out every nook and cranny of our local Metroparks. There’s so many beautiful hidden wonders nearby. We came across this lovely scene the other weekend walking the trails at the F.A. Sieberling Nature Realm in the Summit County Metroparks. Check it out if you’re local. In 2009-2010 they added a bunch of “green” features, so it’s a lovely, modern, eco-friendly facility.

Monday Modern Nature: Eclipsed by Nature

It’s Monday, so time to share a little modern nature with you. Right now I’m seriously coveting the gorgeous modern, organic wall art by Eclipsed by Nature.

This one, measuring 48″ by 24″ is made in a rich ebony wood. I love that a photo silhouette was used as the model, since that’s one way my work is inspired. It’s stunning, and reminds me of something you’d find in Crate and Barrel, Arhaus or an even higher end home furnishings store, though it’s handmade! What a great way to give a nod to nature, while keeping the work fresh and simple.

Sunday Sustainability: Seed Bombz

When I stumbled across the etsy shop humorously called “bombz” aka seed bombz, it made me smile. So I’m sharing it with you as one of my Sunday Sustainability tips.

What seed bombz are, are packets of seeds and organic compost, shaped in little hearts in the most darling packages. You can order in multiple different quantities so they’d be perfect for gifts, shower favors, or to give as little random acts of kindness. Not only are you spreading small favors, but you’re giving the Earth a little hand too.
